Awards:
5K Male/Female Overall, Masters 40+, Grand Masters 50+, Senior Grand Masters 60+, Veteran Grand Masters 70+, 6 deep in age groups 14 & under, 15-19, then 5 year age groups from 20-24 to 80+. Walkers receive finisher/participant ribbons and all of the kids in the dashes receive finisher medals.

Creaky Bones post race party with D.J. and refreshments for all participants and their families.

The Creaky Bones 5K Cross Country XC Run proceeds twice around the periphery of the park with a figure eight through the center of the park, up and down Duane’s Mountain (the only known mountain in Sarasota 32’ above sea level). This is repeated twice then a finish (.05 mile) on the Payne Park red cinder gravel path to the finish. This is a mild cross country run with 3/5 on grassy areas, 1/5 on sidewalks, and 1/5 on a gravel track. Due to darkness & safety of the runners, pets are not permitted to participate in the 5K Run.

1 Mile Run/Walk proceeds twice around a .5 mile red cinder path. This is pet friendly and you can enjoy it at your own pace. All walkers with dogs receive a special Doggie Bandana.

Kids' races start at the center of Payne Park on the Red Cinder Path. The event comprises of four heats: 3 to 4 years run 100 meters (the comparable distance is between home plate and the outfield); 5 to 6 years run 200 meters; 7 to 9 years run 400 meters; and the Big kids 10 to 12 run 1K. All kids receive their own running bib, goodie packet, finisher’s medal, and official Creaky Bones T-shirt. Engraved Trophies to the Boy and Girl Winners for each age group.
