Cross Country
2019 Track and Field season has officially begun! It is not too late to join the team. We offer 16 different events so there are many different opportunities to excel. When you finish up your winter sport season, come on out for track and field. It will make you a better, faster, stronger athlete. Guaranteed.

SPRINTS, HURDLES, AND FIELD EVENTS: Official practice has begun - 3:00 at the track
At 2:45-2:50 p.m. do your 2 lap warm up and be ready to start on time.

MIDDLE DISTANCE AND DISTANCE RUNNERS (3200, 1600, 800, 4x800 relay, and 400/800): Official practice has begun - times and locations sometimes vary so check our DR Google Calendar.
Please check this daily for details about our practices - days, times, locations, warm up instructions, what time to have your rides pick you up, etc. Typically we will start together at 3:00 p.m. after you have done your 1 mile (or 10:00) warm up jog at 2:45 p.m. Always warm up and cool down clockwise in outer lanes if running on the track.

MHS ATHLETICS PAPERWORK:   Everyone must complete the entire athletics paperwork packet and pay the $50 insurance in order to participate in any sport (including conditioning) at MHS. Once you complete the paperwork packet and pay the insurance, you are cleared for all sports for the entire school year.
2018-19 athletic paperwork (10 pages)
$50 insurance may be paid by cash, money order, or check payable to Manatee High School with a parent phone number on top of the check and student name on the memo line.
If you completed the paperwork packet and insurance for a fall or winter sport, please check with your coach as you may already be cleared to participate.

2019 Track and Field Meet Schedule

Transportation Home From a Meet Release Form: You must provide this completed form if you use school provided transportation to a meet and wish to ride home with your own parent or guardian.

Transportation To and From a Meet Release Form: You must provide this completed form at least 24 hours prior to the meet in order to have your parent or guardian provide you with transportation to and from a meet.
